genetically modified organisms are living things who's DNA has been changed by humans using the techniques of genetic engineering. There are two types of genetic modified organisms, cisgenic organisms and transgenic organisms. The mechanism for creating a genetically modified organism is called the recombinant DNA technique. It involves combining strand of DNA from different sources to create a new DNA molecule that has a different combination of genes than that which occurs naturally.

genetically modified organisms are everywhere, i think every single one of us has encountered a  genetically modified object whether we were aware of it or not. I have always known about genetically modified organisms mostly foods though, one of the reasons i know there is modified food is because many fruits are sold seedless for example grapes, oranges, and watermelon etc. i personally think genetically modified food is bad for you because all of it is hand made there fore there are chemicals being used on the food therefore it is bad for you.
